The Sustainable Business Website Development Story

Philip Maher, FCCA is a Dubliner that now lives in Limerick. He has over 20 years’ Practise and industry experience advising SME’s on strategic and financial matters, corporate finance, and corporate restructuring.

Philip recently established sustainablebusiness.ie. He is a strong advocate for the urgent need to address the climate and biodiversity emergency and committed to sustainable business practices and playing a positive role in supporting the required transition to a low carbon world.

A standout moment for me was when I attended an International Assembly for ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) in 2020 when guest speaker Peter Bakker, president of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development and the man who coined the phrase ‘accountants will save the world’, argued that the recent pandemic was nothing compared to the crisis that we are facing with climate change.

This made me revaluate my own priorities regarding climate change and biodiversity. The reality is we all now have to challenge ourselves and change.

Accountants and business advisors have a significant role to play by helping business contribute to achieving a net-zero, nature positive world and to identify the risks and the opportunities while providing the insights for better business decisions that will drive real change.

In 2024 we were delighted to develop this new website on behalf of PM Consilium. Built with mobile-first technology, the new features on the website include major upgrades of functionality. All features are available on mobile and with the new KL Studios CMS, with 100% responsive and mobile first technology, key features of the website can be controlled by the website administrators on any web enabled device.
